East Glacier National Park, Montana, 6/17-21/11

East Glacier has spectacular landscape.  I worked real hard to choose these.

This is where we stayed, Glacier Park Lodge.
Our first stop with the Red Bus (check my next blog/post "The Animals, Food, and the Red Bus") Two Medicine.

More of East Glacier

Richard and I rented a car and went back with our tripods to capture this waterfall.

Lake St. Mary.
Chief Mountain

Part of Glacier National Park is in Alberta, Canada.  This part is also known as International Peace Park.

Please check to see more about our visit to Prince of Wales Hotel (check my next blog/post "The Animals, Food, and the Red Bus").
I returned to this ranger station in Two Medicine to get a Cancellation stamp which has the name of the park and the date of your visit in my official Passsport - To Your National Parks, 25th Anniversary Edition. Richard wasn't feeling well so I made sure his Passport got stamped.
I enjoyed a 45 minute boat ride.  OMG it was a photographer's dream.

This couple had also gone to Two Medicine but chose to hike.  I asked if I could take their picture they have been married for 45 years and yes they were high school sweethearts, such a sweet couple.
Here are some sites from where we stayed, we walked down this road to
do our laundry

This area is part of the Blackfeet Indians.
Inside Glacier Park Lodge,  incredible, huh?  Guess what, no elevators.

Erma and Richard having fun, hee hee at my expense.
Amtrak was faced with many natural challenges.  North Dakota had a flood which postponed our departure. Our original departure was June 20 at 6:45 pm.  During the day, we saw the post change to 8:00 pm. and change.  The train finally left at 5:00 am the following day.  The date was not updated.
Today, I also posted: The animals, food, and red bus, 6/17-21/11, and Full Moon, 7/14/11.
