Foster Garden. 3/30/21

Today our "tagalongs" were Derek, Wes, my friend Natalie and yours truly.  It was not very crowded, so that was nice.

We came at 9 and left around 11:45. Natalie and I met at Mio Pastalogy for lunch. They have tables outside, so we were safe.

Koko Crater Botanical Garden, 3/28/21

It was a little overcast as Derek, Bob, Walter and I met at 7 am.

This spider was so difficult for me to capture. I finally had to manually focus, then switch to auto focus and voila.

I showed the guys where the 10 petal plumerias were. LOL, this was the only flower that bloomed and look where it was, up there. This tree had this flower and some buds.

On the other hand, the other plumeria trees were plentiful.

The native hibiscus

The one we are familiar with.

Today, I scurried off around 9:30, sorry Bob and Curtis. Derek was already long gone.

I had a busy schedule: 7:00 am at Koko Crater, I wanted to go to Daiso before my 11:00 hair color at Pearl City, 2:30 late lunch/early dinner at Mio Pastaology, 4 pm Zoom, 6:30 Virtual Cocktail. (I did nap between 1 and 2.

I have been with Eyes of Hawaii since the end of December 2007. They are a group of friendly photographers. Each month there is a theme and we take turns receiving 5 photos at the most from our participants. For myself, I use iMovie.

Here are some of them

Zoo, 3/24/21

Due to the Pandemic, our photo club, Eyes of Hawaii members have not had an excursion for over a year and we continue to meet via Zoom. Thankfully we are in Tier 3 allowing gatherings for 10. This was a well attended excursion to the Zoo and we knew not to stick together as one group - I think there were 18 of us.

This parrot is there, but almost camouflaged.

I took this photo on Dec. 22, 2020. My son, an oil painter, likes this. He asked if I go again could I get different angles

I did not realize the bird was this one.

From June 14, 2020

We had 2 new members and I showed them how to take photos of birds without showing their cages. They were such quick learners. I got to see their photos looking at the previews.

Barefoot Beach Cafe was a fun place to enjoy a meal together after this outing. Lol, this is a must.
