The amount of lens blades aren't really a function of camera mount. 9 blades on a lens is fairly typical. There are some lens designs that have 5, some with 7 and some with a ridiculous 20+. Nikons have different amounts of blades in their diaphragm just as every manufacturer. Some Nikons (Canons too) aren't even designed by Nikon or Canon but by Sigma or Tokina...

There are many 9 bladed irises in the Canon system.
