Bishop Museum, 9/7/09

I was impressed with the renovation of the Hawaii Hall. It is full of information with many examples of the Hawaiian customs and history.

I especially like these capes worn by the Kings. I am not sure how they were able to preserve them.

Here is a bird's eye view of the vastness of this hall.

Our famous Duke Kahanumoku's surf board.
The second post tonight is the Okinawan Festival, 9/5-6/09.

you managed to get a lot of colors in that dark place. I like that gourd..it's so cute..like a smiley face. The angles of the hall is cool too.
