Lyon's Arboretum, 10/20/20

It certainly is wonderful to be retired. I have to remind myself that today is Tuesday; it feels like a weekend. Gary, his daughter, grand-daughter and I enjoyed Lyon's Arboretum during the designated 2 hour reservation.

Can you see the black cat? (Gary's grand-daughter mentioned there is a black cat)

It was fun and as you can tell, I enjoyed the water droplets.

Waimea Falls Park/Botanical Garden, 10/18/20

Weather forecast was bad for rain, however it turned out this place was super dry, no waterfall, no water in the streams. So we did not have to worry about getting our gears wet. Whew.

Today, there were Derek, Gary, Milton S. and Steve.

As we all do, we go off like cats. My focus was macros.

This photo is a close up of the next photo.

These water droplets were tiny which made it very challenging. You are spared only 2 photos.

Back to bees

I am happy to get this dragon fly and the next one flying.

This plaque of Mr. Keith Woolliams expresses his love for horticulture and how he helped with the design and landscape of this lovely botanical Garden.

Gary and I stayed in the lower part before the first bridge.

Zoo, 10/10/20

84 degrees did not stop Gary, Derek, Walter and I from enjoying the Zoo.

These mynah birds had the right idea. Splashing in the water, makes me jealous.

When Sandi was younger, she was full of energy. We saw her on July 5, 2020.  Today she is docile but then again it maybe the heat.

I think this is Squirt the 20 year old.

This one is Neelix, the other younger one.

The 5 chimps could not stand the heat. Here are 2 of them.

This one's body language, I think is - OMG, I can't stand this heat anymore.

Hard to tell but she is resting her head on him.

Thank you Gary for this photo. With all this hanging on me, wearing long pants, shoes and a mask, I was sweating and lounged at home afterwards.

I was disappointed because "my relatives" the wart hogs were not around. All in all it was fun. All 3 guys gave me a good teasing.

Koko Head Botanical, 10/6/20

Just 5, not intentional: Derek, Stephen, Wes, Milton S. and myself. However, we were all over the place. Derek was prompt at 7, I got there are 7:10 - sorry about that - I forgot it was a work day (now that I am retired as of 6/1/20, I loose track of what day of the week it is). So off we went. Stephen likes to go on his own. Later we saw Wes and Milton.

Oh no, I saw a water droplet which means I spend a lot of time with it.

Random, trying to get more macros.

By 9:30, we said enough already. Left the others high and dry. On Saturday, we plan to go to the Zoo.
